Dojin, a health center doctor who welcomed a huge unidentified guest to the Demilitarized Zone village in the summer of 1980 .SF's emotional masterpiece about the adventures of residents
It is a science fiction film about Cheol-i, a giant alien robot that crash-landed in Punchbowl Village in the Korean Demilitarized Zone, and the adventures of the villagers. Kim Do-jin, a military doctor, is afraid of Cheol-i at first, but gradually develops friendships with him. In the process, Do-jin receives help from the villagers, especially Joo-bok (Yoo Jae-myung), Jeong-ae (Seohyun), and Deok-jin (Park Ye-rin).
Ju-bok acts as a leader who brings the opinions of the villagers together, and Jeong-ae has her first contact with 'Cheol-i' with Do-jin. Deokjin is a curious alley leader who shares pure friendship with 'Cheol-i.' On the other hand, military commander Lee Seong-eun (Yoo Seong-ju) and company commander Kwan-woo (Park Myung-hoon) initially consider 'Cheol-i' a threat. However, Do-jin and the villagers' persuasion help them understand his true value.
The film emphasizes the importance of humanity's inner goodness and courage through human-alien friendship, and captures the painful history and desire for peace on the Korean Peninsula through the background of the Demilitarized Zone. Combining cutting-edge visual effects and emotional storytelling, this work brings new visual experiences and impressions to the audience.
